Spending Projects, Year 2002.
In 2002, Burma Lifeline help fund a number of projects. In general, funds were spent on a number of things including
- Food, rice, and oil
- Training (teachers, weavers, medical assistants)
- Building of shelters, schools, clinics (provide thatch, wire, nails, knives)
- School supplies, materials, copies of books
- Salaries for teachers and instructors
- Transportation
- Medicines (quinine, tetracycline, and other antibiotics, vitamins, etc)
In particular, Burma Lifeline supported a number of larger operations, including
- Education Relief - US$5000 was provided to support 10 different schools and 1191 children
- Nursery School - Over US$4000 was provided to setup a nursery school in the Burma border area
- Clinic - US$10000 was provided by Burma Lifeline in support of a clinic in the Burma border area for the period July, 2002 to December, 2002
